Personalized In-Home Parkinson’s Care for Lincolnwood, IL, Seniors
A Parkinson’s disease diagnosis can be devastating, not only for the patient but for their family members and loved ones as well. At Open Arms Solutions, our mission is to provide holistic in-home Parkinson’s care for Lincolnwood, Illinois, seniors as well as support and resources for the whole family—you aren’t alone on this journey. We do everything we can to guide you and your loved one through this difficult season of life.
A Struthers Parkinson’s Care Network Partner
Open Arms Solutions is proud to be one of just two home care companies in the state of Illinois that are members of the Struthers Parkinson’s Care Network. The network is affiliated with the Struthers Parkinson’s Center, which is designated as a Parkinson Foundation Center of Excellence. Through this membership, five of our senior Parkinson’s caregivers have been trained as Struthers Site Champions and pass on their specialized knowledge through regular training sessions with our entire team. We use Struthers’ TULIPS curriculum to provide the safest and most effective in-home Parkinson’s care.
Our Parkinson’s care program is available on either an hourly or live-in basis, and includes foundational care tasks such as:
- Personal hygiene assistance
- Light housekeeping
- Transportation and help with appointments and errands
- Meal preparation
- Medication management
However, our care goes beyond the basics—our caregivers take the time to get to know each patient and engage meaningfully with them outside the context of Parkinson’s disease. For example, Open Arms caregivers will encourage and assist your loved one with hobbies and interests that bring them joy and purpose, as well as simply provide warm companionship and friendly conversation.
